I’ve skipped a few days worth of posts because honestly there hasn’t been much to report. We were in Osaka 2 days ago and there really wasn’t much to do. The hostel was sort of dirty and not up to the standard that the other hostels that we’ve been to have set and besides eating and visiting shrines/castles, I didn’t feel like Osaka had much to offer. We visited a famous knife store, Tower Knives, near our hostel to pick up a special Japanese knife for a friend. The metal is different and harder so it stays sharper longer.

Besides that, we basically spent the day taking random pictures, wandering at a street market, and going from restaurant to restaurant to kill time until it was time to leave the next day.

I realized that we were getting the point where we were tired from finding activities to do in the 3 cities that we’ve been to already. It’s pretty tiring walking about 12 miles a day on average going from location to location to make sure we’re taking advantage of the time that we have in that particular city. Thankfully we’re spending several days in Onjuku a very small fishing town of 7,000 which is about an hour south of Tokyo by train.
