Everything really hurts you guys. I mentioned yesterday that I’m on 4 different pain meds at the same time, all with their own fun side effects I have to deal with. My recovery feels so debilitating right now because I can’t even adjust myself in bed without causing a lot of pain for myself.
It appears that people are enjoying my sister’s blogging sessions more than mine…I might have to fire her for upstaging me. Just kidding, she did an awesome job for her first time blogging.
Kimberly chiming in again! Andrew’s first night after the surgery was a bit rough. My Dad stayed overnight with him but neither of them had much sleep.
Hello Internet Family & Friends! Kimberly (sister) here, standing in as substitute blogger for the time being.
As you are all anxiously waiting for an update, I’m happy to report that the surgery went very well and Andrew is starting his recovery journey.
I’ve been really edgy the last two days. Somehow I got really good at pissing off 4 people and Speedy bit me within a few hours of each other.
It’s been exactly a month since I had my last chemo treatment. I have to say that I’ve been feeling better the last few weeks than the last 5 months. My hair even started growing back last week!
The last two weeks have gone by way faster than any point of time during my chemo treatment. I didn’t move back to my house but I did manage to get my car back and have been driving all over the place enjoying my temporary freedom before surgery.
Three months ago I was in really rough shape. When I had my appointment at the Mayo Clinic for the first time, I was running a fever, needed a wheelchair, was coughing like crazy, and had a hard time breathing.
After 4 rounds of intense chemo therapy I look to be in pretty good shape besides being bald.
My last full week of chemo was long and grueling as expected. Tried to change up how I spend my time by buying the book Ready Player One on Monday night. I binge read it and finished the 370-ish page book by Wednesday.
It was national dog day on Sunday and I failed to talk about Speedy on my last blog post! Joannna had a work conference on Wednesday so I asked my parents if we could have speedy back at the house while she was out of town for the next 3 days.
