The couple that we met at the krabi airport suggested that we check out the night market near the Maya lifestyle shopping mall as it was the best seafood they had in Chiang Mai.

Credit to Joanna for the blog title. Today was absolutely awesome because it was Elephant sanctuary day.

We woke up yesterday feeling kind of sore. I think in our old age our tolerance for uncomfortable sleeping situations has lessened. Hug hostel is really great for young budget conscious travelers as it’s around $5 but we have “standards” now.

Our flight options out to Chiang Mai was either 10am or 8pm. I figured since this was our one fancy stay, we didn’t need to rush out and could enjoy the morning/afternoon so I chose the 8pm flight. The hotel had its own private beach about 10 minutes away and so we went to check that out for a few hours before needing to make our way to the airport.

I’m really going to miss being in Koh Phi Phi. Prior to making our arrangements for the island I was worried it would be too touristy or that the weather would get in the way of our plans the entire time we were there.
