I’m struggling with how I want to write this post because I don’t want to spoil the experience for those who plan on going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour but in short: ERMERGERHD IT WAS AMAZING!!!

Sidenote: I have an extra ticket that’s good for 12 months if anyone is planning on going in the next year and wants to buy it from me.

The studio tour is outside of London so we took the train to Watford Junction where the “muggle bus run by muggle electricity” came to pick us up.

I noticed getting off the bus that it was mostly adults there and barely any kids, or at least the kids that were there weren’t as excited as their parents who were dragging them around the exhibits 😅

We paid £5 each to do the digital audio tour thinking that if we were here already, we’d make the best of the experience. Halfway through I felt like it was kind of just slowing things down and didn’t add that much to the tour and the smartphone device they give you is a little clunky and slow.

I could go into detail about everything that we saw but again, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I’ll just share a few pics of the day. Message me if you want to know more.

There was a part of the tour where you can sit on a broomstick in front of a greenscreen. Here are a few previews from Joanna’s session.

We arrived at the studio tour at 3 and didn’t leave until they were about to close at 7:30 so we had a solid 4.5 hours there including a break halfway through for butterbeer, but we could have stayed longer had they not announced they were closing soon.

If you haven’t had butterbeer, they also sell it at the Universal Studio theme parks in a liquid form like this or a slushie. It tastes like a cream soda, I prefer the slushie version the most in Orlando.

There was just so much creativity and craftsmanship that went into these movies and going through the tour makes you appreciate them so much more. We’re probably going to do a HP movie marathon when we get home. With how incredible of a day this was, I think we’ll have to plan a trip to New Zealand to see Hobbitton from the Lord of the Rings.
