The past two weeks before the trip I’ve been putting a packing list together making sure I being the essentials like duct tape. I have been however waiting eagerly for that moment at the airport or on the plane where I immediately realize something that I forgot at home. So far that hasn’t happened. I was wondering about being overloaded with tech, I’m bringing a fitbit, smart phone, laptop, dslr camera, go pro, 3ds and all the chargers for each item.

Started the trip off weirdly, I was stopped in the tsa pre check line because my bottle of travel soap was 6 oz instead of 3.5 oz. The lady said “sorry we don’t make the rules”…but they do?
Sent me back outside and I squirted a tiny bit of soap in the trash and they let me through. I don’t get it…
Also I realized that the tsa precheck benefits are basically canceling themselves out now. The line was pretty long the 2nd time around and while it’s still worth it at this point in time, I wonder how busy it will be later on when everyone is paying $85 for pre 9/11 security.

The flight was great, I got about 6 hours of sleep on the 12 hour flight. Watched Iron man 3, avengers 2, and a bunch of episodes of adventure time. I even got TWO dinners, chicken stuffed with broccoli and cheese, and beef curry with rice.

When we arrived, I had to inaugurate the beginning of our trip by using one of these.

I feel like when we come back home, either I get one of these smart toilets installed or I might as well go back to using leaves like our primitive ancestors.

Right now we’re sitting in the airport waiting for the bus to take us to the Tokyo city air terminal where we’ll walk about 10 min to the hostel.
