I’m really excited to be doing another Asia trip and have been looking forward to doing this for quite some time. I was in Japan in 2015 with my siblings and had such a great trip I felt like there was too much to cram into one vacation. This time, I’ll be traveling with quite a large group of people. It first started out as a trip with just my roommate Alex who went on the Philippines trip with me but my girlfriend Joanna, his girlfriend, Stephanie, and our friends Jack and Gretchen were able to join in. My sister Kimberly was going to be in Hong Kong and was able to join us for a part of the trip too.

The last time I was in Japan, we had planned to go to Okinawa but because of a typhoon we had to change our plans. Hopefully, no typhoons this time.
Because the tickets were booked at different times, flights were somewhat varied but the cheapest tickets that a few of us were able to book were as low as $850. We’ll be staying at a combination of hostels, Air BnBs, and ryokans averaging $40 a night.
A lot is planned for this trip, Alex and I are scuba diving for a few days, we’ll be seeing the snow monkeys in Okinawa, and we’ve got a LONG list of delicious food to eat. Basically when we’re not eating, we’ll be searching for the next place to eat. With this being my second time going to Tokyo, it will be great seeing some of my favorite places from last trip but also to experience new things as well.
Today’s been kind of busy with Christmas, we’re flying out tomorrow sooooo naturally I’m not packet yet 😀 I’m looking forward to seeing what I forgot at home the moment I get on the plane.
