So I got home from chicago around 11pm and I realized that since I chose a hockey bag as my luggage, I’d run the risk of everything inside getting wet if it rains.
I went to the grocery store and bought some extra large zip lock bags and proceeded to organize and bag all of my clothes.
It is 2:30am and my bag weighs 48 lbs including 10 lbs of gifts and stuff my mom wants me to bring to my uncles in HK. My backpack which will be my carry on has my laptop, camera, toiletries bag, water bottle, and a book weighs 21 lbs, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to stow it under the seat in front of me.
I just talked to Aaron and it looks like the country of Burma won’t be issuing us any visas so the entire Burma portion of our trip is cancelled. Since the tickets have already been purchased, it might look like we’ll be spending 2 weeks in Thailand but I want to see if we can reschedule and spend maybe a week in Thailand and another week somewhere else since most of the country is still dealing with floods and none of us speak Thai so that’s an issue in and of itself.
I’m super tired right now but I feel like I should just grab something to eat and hunker down and play a few hours of starcraft to really mess up my sleep clock and just knock out a good chunk of flying time while I sleep.
During my bus ride I already watched half of the first season of Battlestar Galactica and right now I’m downloading season 3 and 4 as well as season 2 of Adventure time so hopefully they can all get done before I have to leave in the morning.
I’ll do another post when I do my layover in Newark tomorrow… *yawn*
